Entry Level Environmental Scientist

Alpha Testing is looking to add an Entry-level Environmental Scientist to their Dallas location. As an Environmental Scientist you will be responsible for Phase I and Phase II assessments on various types of properties including undeveloped tracts of land, residential properties, commercial/industrial properties as well as overall project management, networking and enhancing ALPHA’s environmental client base and potential growth opportunities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Complete and finalize specific project tasks according to deadlines and within budget
Project research (historical, analytical, etc.)
Communication with client and subject site representatives
Data compilation and organization
Report authoring
Preparation of quality supporting documents (site figures, appendices, etc.)
Daily management of phase I and phase II ongoing environmental projects
Provide on-site project management to complete field testing
Environmental business development, networking and marketing
Create, prepare and update project proposals and technical reports
Schedule project testing and other necessary field work
Perform tests and sampling of environmental materials including, but not limited to Phase I and Phase II site assessments, underground storage tanks (UST) location and removal, soil and groundwater testing
Complete accurate and detailed field-testing reports and/or diagrams
Review, update and approve invoices weekly for on-going projects
Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects
Maintain quality standards on all projects
Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
4-year degree in engineering, geology or applied science with an emphasis on environmental from an accredited university
0-3 years of experience in geology, environmental engineering and/or related experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred: Understanding of the ASTM 1527-21 Standard E
Preferred: Familiarity with TCEQ Guidance Documents
Preferred: Professional Engineer or Geologist License (PE or PG/GIT) and/or certification in field of expertise
Preferred: knowledge in: 40-hr OSHA HAZWOPER
Preferred: local working with strong client relationships
