The Private Secretary’s Office supports The Queen in her constitutional, governmental and political duties, working to engage the public with The Queen’s role and work in the UK and overseas.
You will join the Secretariat, a dedicated team who provide analytical research, planning and policy guidance to The Queen’s Private Secretaries and wider Household departments.
You will monitor both UK and Commonwealth Realms’ media coverage and produce regular summaries of matters of interest to the organisation. You’ll also have the opportunity to undertake small-scale research and analysis.
Another important aspect of your role will be reviewing material under the FoI Act and other related information for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Handling the team’s administrative processes, you will manage the team’s calendar and keep accurate and up-to-date records of all enquiries.
A key point of contact within the team, you will liaise with domestic and overseas Government Departments, public authorities and colleagues across the organisation on a daily basis.
Balancing the range of queries and deadlines will be challenging, which will stretch and develop your skills. Knowing that you’re providing vital support to the Household will inspire you to deliver your very best.
