Role Purpose and scope:

To provide supply chain support for all projects and products within the company to enable timely and cost effective delivery of components. To be part of the team administering the purchasing process for Cyber UK with an annual spend of between £2-£10m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise between Engineering, Project Management and the Supply Chain;
• Work to the MRP requirements and request quotations for items required to be purchased;
• Obtain all necessary documentation and information to meet purchasing requirements;
• Place purchase orders at agreed prices with approved suppliers selected from the approved supplier list;
• Expedite materials to the correct quality in the agreed delivery schedule;
• Re-schedule purchase orders as per MRP suggestions;
• Liaise with the Quality Dept. on Supplier Returns;
• Resolve supplier invoice queries;
• Liaise with project Engineers and Project Managers to establish Engineering / development requirements;
• Support development requirements as defined by the various programmes;
• Adhere to security protocol when liaising with the supply chain;
• Maintain ERP supply chain masterdata accurately;
• Carry out any other related tasks as specified by the Head of Supply Chain;

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Experience of working in a purchasing environment;
• Interest in working in the electronic and electro-mechanical environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders;
• Good organisational skills, ability to prioritise and work under own initiative;
• Team player;
• Competent in MS Office tools;

Qualifications:

• Willing to work towards MCIPS (company sponsored)
• Ability to obtain SC clearance
