Whilst the location/work-base for this role has been specified, the current Government guidance around social distancing and our evolving ways of working means that the role may require you to also work remotely (e.g. from home/other locations). Working from home can also be considered as a work base on a permanent basis and this can be discussed with you during the recruitment process. The Contact Centre is a fast paced, interesting and ever-changing environment. The Contact Centre has a great team spirit where staff have the opportunity to develop and learn new skills. The main responsibility of this role is to help customers that contact the council with queries and service requests over the telephone in regards to their council tax. As a member of the Customer Contact Team this role is paramount in achieving the highest standards of customer service, ensuring the delivery of quality information, advice and promoting customer service excellence in line with the customer promise and philosophy. Training covering all aspects of this role is provided by an experienced training team to ensure that staff have all the skills that are required to be successful in the role. Ongoing support and mentoring is also provided once initial training has been completed.
