
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in finance, accounting, management consulting, corporate strategy, or a similar environment
- Experience in accounting, finance, or a similar field with a focus in scaling processes and systems
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with database query (e.g., SQL coding and analysis)
- Ability to take initiative in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
- Ability to build strong, productive relationships
- Ability to communicate with management teams
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analysis skills, with excellent business judgment

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it’s modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.
The goal of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is to create financial insights that make Google better by unpacking complex business problems to reveal opportunities, manage risk, and allocate resources. Our team applies this mission to Android in coordination with the cross-finance and cross-functional teams.
In this role, you will work on modeling business scenarios, tracking performance metrics, and more to help business leaders make strategic decisions. You will work day-to-day with the business leaders in Android, working with them to model out agreements/partnerships and more.
The name Google came from “googol,” a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
Responsibilities
- Provide decision support and participate in business-facing projects with a focus on European carriers.
- Work with datasets to build financial models with multiple scenarios for evaluating agreements and decisions.
- Identify metrics that drive the business.
- Make recommendations on agreements and partnerships structures.
- Work with cross-functional teams, providing impactful analytical insight.
