About the role and team

We have an opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join our growing Insurance WA team based in our Perth office.

Our growing Insurance WA practice has approximately 60 staff in total including 40 lawyers. The Insurance WA team is a defendant insurance legal team, working across both General Insurance and Statutory Insurance matters. Our Perth office has around 90 employees in total, which also includes our Commercial teams as well as Corporate Services.

This role supports our Legal Assistants with administration tasks as well as looking after some of the Insurance practices’ client portals. This role has a high volume of administration and will suit someone who has excellent attention to detail, a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and to maintain high quality work output under pressure. This role has the flexibility to work from home.

The successful candidate will possess strong IT skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and some experience working with a document management system (eg Worksite/Filesite) would be highly desirable.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing client file maintenance for the Insurance WA team.
  • Downloading, checking and saving documents from a number of client portals.
  • Splitting and saving large MS Word and PDF documents.
  • Scanning, printing and filing necessary documentation.
  • Assisting legal assistants with other ad-hoc duties as required.

We would like to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a fast-paced administration environment.
  • Experience working with large MS Word and PDF documents.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive and willing to learn new things
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
