Software Engineer Intern

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are hiring Software Engineering Interns to provide software solutions in the Life Science Industry. This position is an opportunity to continue to grow your career with PSC Software™. The intern will support needs assessment, test script development and execution, and implementation of our proprietary software using our specifications.

Our Software is the flagship software solution provided by PSC Software™, and the intern will examine it from several different angles. Our software is a highly configurable Enterprise Quality Management System (EQMS) that enables our customers to track, manage, and report on all compliance, quality, and operational activities in real time. It allows companies in the Life Sciences industry to adapt and grow to meet evolving quality management needs, without coding.

You will work closely and collaboratively with a mentor, Project Managers, Product Managers, Operations and other Engineers to support high-quality implementations, on-time delivery, and post- implementation technical support.

Our ideal candidate will have an eagerness to continue developing strong computer skills, the ability to work and learn in a dynamic environment, and develop and apply troubleshooting skills, and will be able to support the detail-oriented configuration of enterprise software.

POSITION DETAILS:

• Support required detail-oriented configuration of our proprietary, enterprise software.
• Draft and execute test scripts, test cases, and test plans.
• Configure proof of concept demonstrations to adapt to necessary needs.
• Train in the use, configuration and validation of enterprise software.
• Support software requirements analysis, customizations, enhancements, integrations and production deployments of customers/partners.
• Work closely and collaboratively with project managers, product managers, operations and other engineers to ensure high-quality implementation, on-time delivery, and post- implementation technical support.
• Learn and execute computer systems validation.
• Interface with internal stakeholders for technical support/sustainment.
• Write technical documents including requirements, product customizations, and integration capabilities.
• Problem-solve and creatively apply yourself to translating quality business requirements to software.
• Comply with, maintain, and improve our internal quality systems.
• Participate in ongoing technical support, training, and service.
• Learn to perform critical software systems validation with an eye for detail and rigid application of our best practices and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Enrolled in an accredited degree program in Biomedical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Technical computer experience (beyond office and internet applications etc.)
• Ability to work with and troubleshoot requests.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Knowledge of GxP practices a plus.
• Basic understanding of software quality lifecycle.
• Must be able to demonstrate a keen willingness to learn.
• Ability to use a typical office equipment: personal computer, printer, calculator, telephone, photocopier, scanner, etc.
