The Foundation Accounting team is seeking a  Bank Reconciliation Intern that is interested in connecting accounting, data reconciliation and accounting software for a holistic opportunity in processes around cash transactions. This role will offer experience in operational reconciliation, introduction to key controls for accounting, and applying accounting principles on a technical level by assisting with implementation of new software applications related to reconciliation processes. We are looking for a self-starter that has a keen attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset that can help guide our vision.

What Will You Do  

• On a monthly basis, assist with reconciliation function between our accounting system and Foundation bank accounts
• Coordinate with Operations on outstanding items to ensure timely completion of bank reconciliations
• Support outstanding fund reporting with respect to bank reconciliation
• Assist in implementation of new bank reconciliation software

What You Bring  

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles
• Willingness to learn how accounting and software systems work together
• Analytical thinker
• Strong attention to detail
• Data driven with high performance standards
• Ability to communicate technical topics effectively and clearly
• Self-directed and highly motivated to see issues through to resolution
• Willingness to learn Oracle SQL
• Preferably advanced Excel skills
