Job Description And Duties

The Employment Development Department’s Tax Branch is one of the largest tax collection agencies in the nation and we have an opening for one (1) auditor position in the Field Audit and Compliance Division, Fresno Area Audit Office’s, Modesto Audit Crew that may be filled at either the entry level, Tax Auditor (TAu) classification or the promotional Associate Tax Auditor (ATA) level.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to apply California’s employment tax laws, hone your audit skills, attention to detail, and great communication skills, while working with a great team! As part of the Fresno Audit Crews, the TAu level staff conduct the less difficult and complex field audits and investigations of employer accounts for the purposes of upholding the California Unemployment Insurance Code (CUIC) and California tax regulations. Duties will be adjusted as needed if the position is filled at the promotional ATA level. Note: The office will also consider an out-stationed assignment in Fresno, CA.
