Peer Recovery Support Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Site Supervisor of the Opioid Treatment Program, The Peer Recovery Supporter’s role is to support others in recovery from a substance use disorder. They will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate, and motivator to recovering individuals on medication-assisted treatment, to help prevent relapse and promote long-term recovery. The Peer Recovery Supporter must demonstrate an ability to share personal recovery experiences and to develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships. The Peer Recovery Supporter will act as a clinical support within the department, assisting in the functioning of the clinic and being highly involved in the day-to-day operations of the program.
Peer Recovery Support Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Certified Peer Recovery Supporter in State of Ohio is required
- CDCA is preferred
