The Research Support Coordinator performs a variety of duties involved in the collection, compilation, documentation, and analysis of clinical and genetic research data for multiple assigned studies. Moreover, the incumbent organizes and coordinates professional development with the project team and acts as liaison between the University and project partners.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Organizes, hosts, and participates in community education outreach activities to recruit study participants.
  • Serves as the primary contact person for referral sites.
  • Meets with study participants to explain the purpose of the study and study procedures and obtains informed consent.
  • Assists with the preparation and monitoring of IRB documents, administers clinical interviews, and coordinates all assessment and patient contact activity.
  • Tracks participants through all stages of the research program.
  • Ensures that relevant protocols are implemented in a rigorous fashion and supervises the implementation of data quality assurance procedures.
  • Handles petty cash for study activities and organizes data forms.
  • Participates in manuscript, report, and grant proposal preparation.
  • Monitors revenue cycle for external contracts and relationships, including functions outsourced, core and bolt-on technologies, specialty recovery vendors, and collection agencies.
  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Core Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field

Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
