Responsibilities Will Include
Responsibilities
- Preparation of lab materials and reagents: washing and autoclaving glassware and plasticware; preparing and autoclaving microbiological culture media.
- Lab cleanup and organization: help maintain lab equipment, materials, and workspaces clean, organized, and in working conditions.
- Assist other researchers with molecular biology and microbiological experiments: PCR, DNA ligations, DNA purification, cloning, strain transformation, cultivation, and curation.
- Conduct independent research in microbial bioengineering
Essential Qualifications
Qualifications
- Must have good organizational and time management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of molecular biology and microbiological techniques
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1+years experience with lab work in bioengineering research.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with experimental data collection, analysis, and interpretation
