This position is for a Client Experience Specialist in the Residential & Consumer Lending department at the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh (URA). The Residential & Consumer Lending Division provides a portfolio of housing programs to both developers and consumers in the City of Pittsburgh. The division helps make Pittsburgh a more affordable place for its residents.

The Client Experience Specialist is responsible for providing a responsive, compassionate, and accessible front door for clients seeking to access the programs and services of the Residential & Consumer Lending Department. This includes coordinating a central intake process for all consumer housing programs and maintaining a master client intake log.

Requirements:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate centralized intake process with department leadership for residential & consumer programs and maintain a master spreadsheet and/or database of all client inquiries and applications
  • Provide a professional, efficient, and compassionate customer service experience to all potential clients contacting the Residential & Consumer Lending department
  • Facilitate referrals for potential clients to appropriate URA programs or to URA external partners relevant to the specific needs of the individual’s circumstances
  • Support the Departmental Director, managers, and staff in the activation of the Residential & Consumer Lending Division’s day-to-day activities related to operational oversight and organizational effectiveness.
  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, track meeting minutes, present documents, presentations, and other meeting preparation materials. This includes recording and creating minutes for the monthly Housing Opportunity Fund Advisory Board Meetings.
  • Attend community meetings, present housing programs, and/or help department organize and lead charrettes
  • As needed, work in collaboration with the URA’s Strategic Policy & Communications Department to create and monitor social media postings.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks such as scanning, copying, creating PowerPoints, data entry into various systems, running reports from various systems, maintain invoicing systems, draft marketing materials, maintain system databases such as SharePoint, NetSuite, etc.
  • Assist with the utilization of federal invoicing systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Business, Communications, Public Policy, Social Work, Public Relations, or a related field
  • At least three (3) years of experience in a customer service, client support, operations, or administrative support role.
  • Basic mathematical skills and proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling are required
  • Experience in MS Office Suite products, including SharePoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Business, Communications, Public Policy, Public Relations or a related field.
  • Knowledge of the affordable housing field is a plus.
  • Experience in a clinical or social services setting preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs., standing, sitting, reaching and stretching.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
