Brief Summary of Purpose:

The Cloud Engineer/Administrator role is to provide strategic solutions architecture design and consultancy within Infrastructure services cloud (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) leveraging both existing and proposed cloud services within the health plan or partners. The Infrastructure Cloud Architect will work to develop an integrated view of the IT architecture, using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard technique. This is a hands-on role that requires a long-term view and the willingness to deploy and implement recommended solutions.

Responsibilities

• Planning, design, development and support of Fallon’s Azure Cloud environment
• Develop and drive Azure cloud strategy and program architecture
• Establish and implement monitoring and management for availability and performance management
• Define KPI’s, measure progress
• Provide recommendations on architectural changes to improve efficiency, reliability and performance
• Collaborate with Cloud/DevOps engineers to develop solutions and solve technical and design problems

Qualifications

Education:

Minimum 4 year College Degree or equivalent work experience.

• Thorough understanding of Azure Cloud resource utilization and management
  • 3-5 years IT experience in cloud operations and system administration
  • Experience scripting in PowerShell or other scripting languages for automation purposes
  • Experience implementing, migrating, managing and operating systems/applications in an enterprise Azure cloud computing environment
  • Subject matter expertise with MS Azure
  • MS Certified Azure Solutions Architect is a plus
