Description:
The Client Experience and Community Partnership Coordinator will engage with and actively collaborates with clients, community partners and visitors to improve the client experience in the drop-in center and shelter located at Second Avenues Commons. This position leads as chairperson the Consumer LeadershipGroup(CLG) and is responsible with establishing and sustaining CLG membership by continually extending an invitation to clients who have experienced or are experiencing homelessness to engage, be real, be heard, and advocate on their own behalf. The CECP Coordinator will ensure that the CLG convenes once per month on an ongoing basis. The CECP Coordinator will make recommendations on potential drop-in center and shelter improvements to the Homeless Services Supervisors and Executive Leadership. The CECP Coordinator will coordinate volunteer, student and staff led shelter/drop-in center activities to ensure scheduled activities meet the needs of served clients. This position maintains continual contact with clients receiving drop-in and shelter services to assess their satisfaction and communicates client responses back to the drop-in center/shelter team so that timely intervention may occur. The CECP Coordinator acts as a community liaison with clients seeking services, community partners and stakeholders to ensure that both the drop-in center and shelter clients receive excellent coordination of care. This will include forming linkages and connections to additional resources and services that are determined to beneficial to clients receiving services. This position will meet all expectations related to PMHS policies and procedures. These functions will be performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and Pittsburgh Mercy’s philosophy and standards. This position will be skilled at building strong trusting relationships quickly so that they are able to inspire change.

Responsibilities/Requirements
- Master’s in Human Services and 1 year of homeless services, residential and crisis services delivery or Bachelor’s in Human Services and 3 years of homeless services, residential and crisis services delivery. An Associate degree in Mental Health & 4 years or High School diploma & 8 years of job related clinical mental health experience is accepted.
- Act 33/34/73 Clearances
- Pre-Employment Drug Screen
- Valid Driver License
- Ability to Drive an Organization Vehicle
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Of The Position
- Knowledge of the psychology behind the barriers that people face once they are in a crisis.
- Ability to present overall goals of the project. (Following probationary period each team member is able to articulate professionally how their position fits into the larger team.
- Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing (Will train during probationary period is not trained prior to hire).
Work Schedule: This is an Exempt (salary) position
Work hours are congruent with the hours of operation at Second Avenue Commons. Primarily daylight, Monday – Friday.Some evenings and weekends may be required. Will also provide on-call support according to a rotation schedule.
