Description

Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is looking for a Performance Excellence Manager to join a mission-driven healthcare team. This position plays a strategically important role in the development and implementation of a Lean Management System for Trinity Health Of New England, specifically Medical Groups and Provider Services (MGPS). This person is responsible for identifying opportunities for operational improvement through observation, data analysis, or other means, and leading multidisciplinary teams through the appropriate Lean Six Sigma processes to achieve improvements.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Influential Leader: Serve as a thought leader and culture change agent to embed principles of the Trinity Health Leadership System and other improvement methodologies throughout the organization.
  • Strong Educator: Must have the ability to facilitate and train in advanced Lean Six Sigma concepts and methodologies utilization adult learning principles. Instruct cross-functional teams in adapting to and understanding improvement processes, facilitates Kaizen and Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs), and oversee process improvement projects.
  • Excellent Communicator: Demonstrate ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with peers and constituents at all levels of the organization. Effectively communicate individuals at all levels of the organization on executing plans to improve key performance metrics in categories including, but not limited to: patient safety, quality & regulatory, throughput, cycle time, financial stewardship, and colleague engagement.
  • Active Teamwork: Ability to coach and mentor at all levels of the organization to achieve buy-in from strategic decision makers for the successful deployment of improvement methodologies. Provide guidance and best practices for Data & Analytics team.
  • Regulation Familiarity: Adhere to all HIPAA privacy and security regulations, policies and practices. Ensure direct reports are educated about HIPAA Privacy and Security policies and procedures. Actively review department/staff practices to ensure HIPAA compliance

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Degrees in Industrial Engineering, Business or Healthcare Administration, or related field are preferred. Must possess thorough knowledge of operations, financial analysis, and organizational development.
  • Experience: Particular emphasis will be placed on having five (5) to seven (7) years of previous experience driving lean transformational efforts that have resulted in sustained, on-going process improvement and culture change
