Description:

Reporting to the Director, Facilities Management, Facilities Improvement, this position is responsible for coordinating SAMC Facilities and Construction projects and maintaining project schedules. This position coordinates aspects of the Environment of Care related to Life Safety, ensuring all regulatory testing and documentation requirement are met. Serves as point of contact for slips/trips/falls involving Facilities. The incumbent must work independently and effectively manage time to meet project deadlines. The incumbent

will also support Plant Operations and the Manager Construction in administrative functions to support the department.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare or construction management is required. High School diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of relative education and leadership experience in a healthcare setting may substitute for the degree.
  • Three (3) years of relative experience is required. Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. If education and leadership experience is in lieu of the degree, must have three (3) years of experience in addition to the experience substitution.

3 Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) is preferred.

  • Proficient computer skills including software such as Microsoft project are required.
  • Strong communication skills are required.
  • Familiar with The Joint Commission (TJC), CMS and other regulatory agencies as related to Life Safety is required.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks, identify and resolve complex issues, produce quality work, and consistently meets deadlines, while being a flexible, detail-oriented team player is required.
