What You Will Do

Title: Dir-Performance Improvement

Shift: Full Time

Location:Seton Administration Office

Direct performance improvement activities and resources.

  • Develops and implements strategic plan for meeting network’s objectives via its performance improvement system.
  • Leads, with network executives, the strategic development of a performance improvement project portfolio of projects at high complexity and volume.
  • Guides team members to consistently meet or exceed project deliverables and outcomes.
  • Leads team responsible for performing performance improvement program activities through each phase of discovery, design, implementation, monitoring and sustainability.
  • Leads team responsible for designing and developing standard processes and reducing waste in clinical and non-clinical areas, and solving moderate to highly complex problems using an evidence-based approach. Develops both process and outcome measures.
  • Develops and implements system-wide education in improvement science methodologies, Lean tools and management system, project management, and change management as required by team project, including process mapping, root cause analysis, statistical analysis and stakeholder analysis and mitigation and communication plans.
  • Collaborates with national stakeholders and serves as a subject matter expert as appropriate
  • Develop departmental goals, plans and standards.
  • Plan, organize and direct all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.
  • Prepare departmental budgets and ensure compliance with allocated funding. Coordinate and direct internal/external audits.
  • Direct and evaluate all clinical activities including care plan development, service level determination and complaint management.

Education

What You Will Need

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Work Experience

  • 5 years of experience required.
  • 10 years of experience preferred.
  • 2 years of leadership or management experience required.
  • 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

Additional Preferences

Quality, Lean, Project Management certifications preferred

Healthcare experience, particularly in a multi-hospital system with an academic component, preferred. Experience working with executive leaders preferred. Experience leading multiple, complex projects preferred. People management experience strongly preferred.
