LOCATION: This position is onsite, office-based in Atlanta, GA (hybrid model in 2022 with 2 days remote)
JOB SUMMARY
Under the limited direction of the SVP, Affiliate Relations and Chief Operations Officer, the Managing Director Affiliate Talent Acquisition, CEO Search will be responsible for leading the executive talent sourcing function for Boys & Girls Clubs of America member organizations. This includes the development and implementation of sourcing strategies, processes, and activities related to the identification, recruitment and selection of executive top talent. The Managing Director Affiliate Talent Acquisition will oversee national recruiting and lead a team of CEO search specialists, including a National Director, Directors and a source. This position will strategically partner with the DEI & Leadership development and Organizational Development teams to ensure continuity in the CEO leadership Development Continuum, including career and succession planning.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead a team of CEO search specialists who are responsible for supporting the executive talent sourcing function for local Boys & Girls Club organizations.
• Develop a scalable strategy for providing high quality search support for local Boys & Girls Club organizations across all budget categories.
• Partner with leaders across field operations to develop comprehensive workforce development plans that anticipate potential exits of executive leadership of local Boys & Girls Clubs.
• Identify recruiting strategies to bring top quality, diverse candidates to the organization in a timely manner
• Directly manage the search process for key positions, particularly CEO positions in Metro Services as well as other critical markets.
• Partner and consult with transition committees appointed by local boards of directors to develop open position specifications and providing support throughout the transition cycle.
• Facilitate development of internal and external networks to identify diverse top talent and best practices
• Select, implement, and manage tools and resources to ensure the hiring process is equitable, efficient and effective.
• Develop a high performing team of search specialists on sourcing opportunities, developing strategic prospecting pipelines, commitment to client satisfaction, and continuous improvement of the executive search process.
• Partner with search specialists, as appropriate, to create sourcing strategy for open positions
• Keep abreast of federal, state and local regulations affecting employment practices and procedures; educate member organizations to ensure compliance
• Develop best practices related to the hiring process, keeping in mind the varying needs of local Boys & Girls Clubs.
• Partner with various teams to ensure the appropriate resources, training and information is integrated into board resources.
• Annually train Directors of Organizational Development on their role in serving on search committees, serve on committees where appropriate and ensure regular participation in team meetings
• Create and disseminate weekly scorecards on progress.
• Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business Administration or equivalent work experience is required
• Requires minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in talent management or staffing
• Requires 5 or more years’ supervisory experience
• Experience working within a staffing agencies or search firm environment a plus
SKILLS
• Demonstrated track record of improving quality and success of hires and reduction in recruitment cycle times
• Experience leading the recruiting function in corporate environments and/or complex multi-site organizations
• Knowledge of employment law related to hiring practices (ie. EEO, FLSA and ADA)
• Strong project management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, multiple social media platforms and generally technologically savvy
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Proven ability to shift paradigms to create a new dynamic in the caliber of CEO candidate
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills; expresses self clearly and concisely; adapts messages to audience
• Strong facilitation skills

Physical requirements include sight, hearing, sitting for four plus hours per day. This position will set strategy and direction for attracting and promoting a diverse candidate pool for CEO searches; and partner with local staff to effectively execute the talent acquisition process for field operations. Efficient and effective delivery of resources to local BGCs across the enterprise, resulting in enhanced local community impact
ENVIRONMENTAL & WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal internal office environment. Travel estimated at 50-70% (can be up to 15 days or more in a month – including weekends – depending upon scheduling requirements). The individual selected for this position must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to navigate areas of the country by using a map or other direction methods.
