Under the supervision of the Director of Advancement Events and Donor Relations, the Assistant Director of Donor Relations is responsible for the coordination and implementation of the University’s efforts to cultivate all levels of charitable giving from prospective and current donors through a comprehensive and strategic program of donor relations and stewardship. The Assistant Director is responsible for managing the gift acknowledgment process, including tracking, editing, and writing donor communications. Other duties include assisting with stewardship and donor relations projects, including:
- Annual impact reporting to donors
- Donor naming rights and recognition
- Timely and proper spending of named and endowed funds per donor intentions
- Detailed organization and record-keeping regarding named and endowed funds
- Planning and staffing donor stewardship and cultivation events
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3-5 years experience analyzing confidential information regarding prospects.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Extraordinary attention to detail and the ability to manage their time across multiple competing priorities and under minimal supervision.
- A high level of computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and complex mail merges.
- A positive attitude and excellent customer service/hospitality skills
