Go Developer is a developer with knowledge of the Go programming language. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing clear, quality code to develop the best software. You will test your code, identify errors, and iterate to ensure quality code.

Responsibilities of this role include:

• Being a core part of our development team
• Taking ownership of designing and building our backend based on microservices
• Responsibility for following best practices and proactively challenging our design and implementation
• Helping us to research, identify and pick the best technologies available any challenges

Who we think would be a good match (Feel free to tell us otherwise!)

1. You are comfortable working in distributed teams, eager to collaborate and (seek) help
2. You have practical experience building a system of microservices
3. You have previous experience with the challenges of distributed systems, for example: Communication patterns, Monitoring and logging, Scalability, Failure handling.
4. You have strong programming experience in Go
5. You have knowledge about ensuring quality (For example; TDD, Unit tests, integration tests, DoD)
6. You have experience with container-based services
7. You can bring practical experience with AWS to run our solutions and ideally in some of the following technologies:

• Queue-based communication
• Redis
• RESTful services
• MongoDB
• MySQL
• Docker
• Git

Further details of this role:

• Working full-time on an ongoing contract (at least 30 hours per week)
• You will have the flexibility to choose your own hours around:
• Default team meetings
• Core working hours 10 am-2 pm Monday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday (CEST) and 10 am to 5 pm on Wednesdays (CEST)
• You can work from anywhere you want!
• Salary range:  €5000-€6000
