What You Will Do

At Essity, we see graduates as playing an important role in challenging the status quo, driving change, and making a positive impact on the business and on hygiene and health globally. As GO! Graduate Medical Affairs, you will follow develop skills and knowledge in selected R&D / Product Development area, in order to take on an entry level role within the relevant area. Examples of relevant areas within Medical Affairs could be in Medical Education, Product Development or Clinical Evaluations. The role will be responsible for one or more of the below as assigned:

• Develop knowledge of the organization’s products and/or services and customers by working closely with more experienced managers within the relevant Medical Affairs field
• Execute specific Medical Affairs activities as outlined in the development plan by the relevant organizational unit
• Participate in development projects in close co-operation with other functions and based on customer needs, R&D ideas or market trends
• Evaluate new or existing products with regards to evidence-based claims or regulatory aspects (e.g. classification of products)
• Build and maintain national and international networks of specialist users (doctors / nurses), professional associations, expert comittees and opinion leaders
• Design and publish clinical studies and case reports
• Participate in benchmark studies, track current therapeutic developments and trends and identify gaps and opportunities
• Analyse product complaints from a medical perspective and identify possible impacts
• Initiate and evaluate of post-market clinical follow-up activities
• Maintain the medical and scientific parts of the CE documentation

Who You Are

• You have a minimum Bachelor degree in a scientific/medical field completed at program start
• You have maximum 24 months of work experience after graduation. Work experience is not required, but appropriate internships in industry is an advantage
• You have an excellent level of English and German language skills
• You have an international mindset from working and/or studying abroad and an interest in collaborating with people from different cultures
• You have a willingness to travel and relocate (e.g. for a rotational period)
• You have an interest in developing and leading yourself, a curiosity to learn new things and an ability to inspire people to achieve things together. With your solution-oriented approach you are eager to make a difference and have the courage to act on own ideas
• You are a great networker and communicator who thrives in a changing environment. You have a strong learning agility and ability to adapt to change

Selected candidates will participate in a two-year Graduate On-boarding (GO!) Program within the Essity organization, starting in September 2022. Please note that while it is a 2 year program, your contract is permanent! The GO! Program provides a real job with real responsibilities and an individual development plan to give you a strong foundation to drive your development and career within Essity. The GO! Program is based on relevant tasks, clear responsibilities and specific learning goals. This will provide participants with a deep understanding of the Essity global organization, processes and tools, develop functional as well as leadership competencies while simultaneously delivering concrete results to the business.
