Grace Farms Foundation is seeking a Social Media Manager. This role will coordinate the planning and execution for the organization’s digital channels, define the associated audiences, and articulate and understand the supportive growth role of each of Grace Farms’ channels. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and executing an annual digital content calendar, establishing and tracking digital KPIs, cultivating online community engagement and growth, and bringing the forefront of emerging digital and social tools and trends to the organization with the goal of advancing good.

Specifically, this role will be responsible planning and execution of content of Grace Farms digital channels across:

  • Foundation Social Media Channels (@GraceFarmsCT and @DFFMovement) and Promotions, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Vimeo, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google My business (including emerging engagement capabilities). Learning and monitoring the usefulness of new and emerging platforms.
  • Email and Newsletters: Audience Growth and continued engagement coordination through Pardot.
  • Tools and Analytics: understanding and reporting from:
  • Listening/Reputation Management Solutions
  • Google, Social Media (posts and promotional), Website and Salesforce
  • Audience growth and analytics through Pardot

Strategic goals and day-to-day responsibilities

  • Identify, Dimensionalize and Grow Grace Farms’ Target Audiences. In collaboration with the Director of Marketing, define and grow Grace Farms’ primary and other secondary audiences for online communications.
  • Determine the Role of Digital across each of Grace Farms’ Channels. Develop a digital strategy that includes the Foundation, its five Initiatives, Grace Farms/the place, its website and other key humanitarian projects – factoring in their respective audiences.
  • Create an Annual Content Calendar + Digital Distribution Strategy in Collaboration with Marketing Plans.
  • Generate engaging content daily, with collaboration from other departments as necessary.
  • Elevate Social Media Listening and Response. Respond to social media posts as a trusted Grace Farms ambassador. Cultivate community and engagement.
  • Use all available digital channels to increase engagement with Grace Farms, including Pardot, digital systems, social media, program participation, and marketing partnerships.
  • Elevate Understanding and Awareness of Grace Farms via social media. Distill and deploy dynamic social media to increase engagement and awareness of Grace Farms’ efforts.
  • Be on the Forefront of Emerging Digital + Social Media Trends.
  • Define Digital Success and KPI’s. Identify and establish goals, refine digital dashboard, track, report and optimize performance.
  • Monitor Social Media Channels and Analytics Daily. Review, respond, re-share posts, as appropriate.
  • Build Trusting Relationships with Peers and Internal Partners. Support and inspire the shared goal of communicating the work of the Foundation.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional experience. Adept at using research to understand audience segmentation.
  • Brings deep understanding of the digital ecosystem and perspective on how to leverage content for maximum impact and engagement.
  • A gifted communicator who knows how to respond to social media while reflecting an authentic brand tone and voice.
  • Fluent in social media and experienced in developing content strategy + distribution plans.
  • Excellent copywriter
  • Ability to identify and select appropriate creative content (image/video)
  • Experience tracking digital metrics and using data to drive digital marketing impact and make recommendations for improvement.
  • A nimble self-starter who is both driven to do the “roll up your sleeves” work AND brings innovative thinking to the team.
