Where and when do we need you?

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager as The primary purpose of this role is to lead the quality assurance team in its goal to provide continuous measurement, oversight and confidence of our success in meeting relevant quality standards and to support Fair Ways to deliver the highest quality service. You will play your part in providing operationally independent oversight of the quality and safety of Fair Ways services, to recognise best practice and identify opportunities to raise standards so that the organisation continually improves and brings about lasting change.

In this role you will be involved exciting and rewarding things like:

  • The Quality Assurance Framework: The organisation’s quality assurance framework if effectively delivered and regular audits, spot checks and observations are coordinated and conducted to promote the highest quality service.
  • Setting Standards: A shared understanding of ‘what good looks like’ is developed through collaboration with services so that clear and tangible clear quality standards, informed by regulation, legislation, best practice and service user feedback, are defined and inform quality assurance processes.
  • Guidance and Support: Targeted support is provided to services to ensure they are meeting regulatory and legal requirements, are following best practice guidance, and are working towards delivering the highest quality service.
  • Safeguarding: Safeguarding policy and procedure is independently reviewed and areas for development or concerns are escalated to relevant management and executive forums. Learning from serious safeguarding incidents and external reviews are effectively implemented.
  • Reporting: Management and executive forums are provided with effective oversight and assurance of service quality and compliance. Thematic reviews and board reporting are informed by effective analysis of relevant qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Being part of a Learning Organisation: Leadership of the lesson learned process contributes to a culture of learning and helps embed learning into policy, procedure and practice.
  • Being part of a Fantastic Team: You will have excellent interpersonal skills, ensuring professional boundaried relationships. Being a highly organised, methodical individual, you will be able to manage workload effectively, and be confident working independently and leading a team.

This is a permanent position Monday- Friday on 37.5 hr per week basis. This role will be a hybrid position with a mixture of working from home, working on site in our front line services and from our central support office.

All candidates must have a full driving license and have access to the use of a car. Successful candidates will be required to provide an enhanced Disclosure (DBS). This disclosure cost will be met by Fair Ways.

To Support This, You Will Have The Following

  • To hold a Social Work Qualification, NVQ Level 4/5 in health and social care management or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years management experience of running a regulated residential, health or education service for children or young adults; or experience of managing and supervising a team where safeguarding is central to the purpose of the team.
  • Experience of carrying out regulatory inspections (i.e. Reg 44/Independent Visitor Inspections) or to have at least 2 years’ experience of working in a Quality Assurance / Inspector role.
  • Experience in inputting, handling and analysing data.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, including those of CQC, Ofsted and CIW.
