Salary – Scale PO 2-4 (£32,234 – £33,782 per annum)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Advisor to support a culture of health and safety compliance within Blackpool Coastal Housing. The role will be to ensure that effective health and safety management is embedded within BCH and to provide comprehensive, professionally independent, timely, accurate advice and solutions in relation to Health and Safety legislation, regulation and good practice.
You will advise and assist all levels of management to implement and comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and subsequent health and safety legislation in order to achieve/maintain compliance. You will advise accordingly on any general health and safety enquiries and investigate concerns raised by employees, taking any appropriate action. You will also be required to coach, mentor and support the Health and Safety Assistant.
You will possess effective interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships. You must have effective IT skills and experience in providing health and safety advice, support and guidance and ability to present information in a concise and effective manner. You must have experience working in a dedicated Health and Safety role and possess a NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or working towards.
