Position Summary
As a member of the healthcare team, the Registered Practical Nurse provides patient care within the Scope of Practice of a Registered Practical Nurse.

- Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse
- Current Certificates or current community college studies in asepsis, wound care, airway management, complex wound care, ostomy management, patient assessment, urinary catheterization, administering enteral feeds, transcribing orders
- Documented completion of a recognized IV administration, Venapuncture and Blood and blood product administration course
- Current CPR Certificate
- Recent experience in an acute surgical setting
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with Registered Nurse and other healthcare professionals on the unit, including the ability and willingness to accept assignments and requests
- Demonstrated ability to function in an environment which is fast-paced, with unpredictable patient outcomes
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other members of the healthcare team
- Ability to set priorities and organize work in response to patient needs
As a condition of employment, you will be required to submit proof of full covid-19 Vaccination to Employee Health Services
