- Project Management
- Contribute to project development, including drafting of concept notes and budgets for all EORE activities;
- Advise the programme unit on the set up of logframes, activities and indicators to track EORE activities;
- Establish planning and quality assurance mechanisms to ensure appropriate implementation of all EORE activities, supporting course correction and quality assurance of the work completed;
- Advise on the creation of new EORE material designs and content to ensure tailored and effective EORE activities;
- Review reports of the EORE team and provide technical advice on implementation and programme adaptation;
- Gather information on lessons learnt and areas of improvement within the Project Cycle Management related to EORE and propose solutions to identified challenges and issues.
- Implementation of partner relations
- Organise the monitoring plan of implementing partner activities;
- Create training implementation plans for implementing partners and lead/advise and manage the quality assurance teams who will do QM the content of trainings provided to these partners;
- Ensure that there are appropriate feedback mechanisms in place from the implementing partners in order to gather information on victims of EORE, conduct pre and post trainings to track impact, and analyse outputs of the work.
Information management and reporting
- Establish appropriate organisation of the EORE shared drive, record and archive keeping;
- Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to ensure compliance with internal and external indicators;
- Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to ensure relevance of RE activities and operations;
- Draft briefing notes, presentations and reports on the EORE data, activities and achievements for internal and external use.
Coordination and representation
- Co-chair the EORE-CPP technical working group under the mine action area of responsibility (MA AoR), which involves: organising and following up on monthly meetings and action points, reviewing/validating key EORE documents used by all partners and facilitating coordination between EORE-CPP actors, among others;
- Liaise with the National Mine Action Authorities and humanitarian actors on mine action related activities; identify areas of capacity gaps and propose plans to implement support for improvements;
- Support the SOCA in planning coordinated response to EORE, not limited to, but in particular as relates to debris management, rubble removal and reconstruction planning;
- Review coordination approaches across and between HMA sectors as relates to EORE – as well as in the areas of debris management and victims assistant – and establish plans for intervention and collaboration;
- Participate in donor visits, events, meetings and conferences as required.
Team Management
- Build the capacity of the national EORE Associates and Team Leaders in Gaza and West Bank to take on leadership and coordination roles, mentoring colleagues in implementation and monitoring best practices;
- Facilitate creative and collaborative consultations in planning EORE campaigns within the team to ensure innovative responses to the issue.
Education/Experience/Language requirements:
Education
- Advance degree (Master degree or equivalent) with 5 years of relevant work experience is required;
OR
- First-level University degree (Bachelor degree or equivalent) with 7 years of relevant work experience is required.
Experience
- Relevant experience is defined as experience in humanitarian activities or project management in a complex emergency affected by a disaster or conflict.
- Previous experience working in explosive ordnance risk education work is desired.
- Communications and design capabilities are desired.
Languages:
- Fluent in English (read, write and speak) is required.
