Job Description
Position Title: Staff Development and Learning (SDL) Assistant
Reference Code: DR 022/2024
Job classification: Ungraded
Duty station: Manila (Global) Administrative Centre (MAC)
Type of Appointment: Three months with possibility of extension
Salary: Php 50,000 per month net of taxes (all-inclusive salary)
Context
Under the overall supervision of the Head of SDL, direct supervision of the Senior SDL Assistant in Manila, and close coordination with relevant training focal points in headquarters, administrative centres, regional offices and field offices, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the administration of IOM’s learning management system.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Communications and Technology, Computer Science, Education, Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field from an accredited institution with two years of professional experience; or,
- Completed High School degree with four years of experience.
- LMS certification, preferred;
- Other diploma or training certification, an advantage
Experience:
- With at least 2 year experience in the management and administration of a learning management system, preferably Cornerstone OnDemand or Oracle.
- Experience in presentation, public speaking or training facilitation, both face-to-face and virtual (using MS Teams, Zoom etc.).
- Experience in project management, monitoring and reporting, an advantage.
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
- Demonstrated skills in end-to-end administration of a learning management system and other training technologies.
- Skilled in customer support for a global audience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications e.g. MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Teams, MS SharePoint.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision to deliver quality work.
- Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment, and across time zones.
- Possess high level of flexibility, initiative and adaptability to change.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
