Tasks

In this role, you contribute to our efficiency program ValYOU@scale.

Your mission: Empower business units to harness data independently.

You draw the data landscape, reinforce governance principles, promote systematic use of data catalogs and establish federated data governance.

• Drive the LX (SWISS) requirements in collaboration with architecture and security colleagues to have a pragmatic, scalable and secured cloud Data estate, ensuring an easy access to data aligned with business goals.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to design, develop and deploy data solutions that will redefine or increase the efficiency of our business processes, products and services.
• Define best practices for using data catalog and proactively engage with business stakeholders across SWISS to enforce it use.
• Provide guidance and support to the IT teams to develop data products, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
• You are responsible for the implementation of the LX DWH Data governance framework.
• Be an active player in the Data Democratization campaign at SWISS

Requirements

This roles demands an innovative and experienced professional to drive our data initiatives. You excel in data governance, architecture and enabling business autonomy.

• University degree (Master, PhD as asset) with a quantitative focus in Computer Science and Data
• Previous relevant working experience (1-3 years) in the area of data governance and architecture
• String leadership in guiding business units through data adoption
• Experience in cloud computing is an advantage (Google cloud or Azure cloud)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Databricks knowledge is a plus
• Self driven / entrepreneur mindset is a must.
• Experience in Power Platform, Databricks and genAI is a plus.
• An ability to familiarize yourself swiftly and independently with new domains
• Written and spoken fluency in English and preferably also in German
