EARLY DATA is a digital market intelligence agency specializing in using artificial
intelligence & machine learning to capture, process and analyze big data
The primary role of the Business Analyst is to collaborate with EARLY DATA commercial and service teams to create, pitch, & deliver value-add solutions to the client. Responsibilities include:
1. Interfacing directly with clients to thoroughly understand their business needs.
2. Comprehending EARLY DATA capabilities and linking those solutions directly with client needs.
3. Working internally with EARLY DATA teams to plan, kick-off, and oversee successful project delivery.
• Responsible for understanding the EARLYDATA data sets, and how they could potentially add value to a client’s business. In conjunction with the Commercial and Product leaders, design, create and publish value-added reports.
• For prospective client pitches, can be responsible for creating specific analysis of that client’s
business issues, in order to demonstrate how the data can add value.
• Attend trade shows and client-related events, showcasing the above-mentioned reports in an effort to market and sell these reports.
• Proactive looking for and creating content that might be of use to the New Business development team so to help drive product awareness and application.
• Participate in client service meetings with Account Managers, proactively providing solutions to client service requirement and driving client engagement.
• Deliver other ad hoc work (e.g. proof read of translation, translation of Chinese into English,
working on custom projects) and respond to incoming client requests.
• Whenever any support is needed in any other areas apart from the above, which lead to better relationship with our clients, or increase in revenue and always being ready to willingly provide a helping hand.
• Working with our Business Partners such e.g. Redfern and Mintel to help supply client solutions.
• Working hands-on on key data tasks to ensure project success from start to finish. Actual data tagging, market understanding, quality checking, and analysis will be relied upon heavily.
Requirements:
• University Degree
• Over 3 years of experience in consumer goods industry, preferably in beauty and personal care, alcohol, or food and drink industry. Excellent analytical skills, and also enjoy the process of data analysis, creating insights and recommendations from data.
• Good communication skills, able to communicate confidently in front of a group
• Calm and can-do attitude
• Multi-tasking, with excellent organizational skills
• High skills of using Excel/Word/PowerPoint for business purposes
• Data Science experience/exposure a plus
• SQL and/or Python experience a plus
