Financial Accountant

Our Reading based client is currently recruiting for a Statutory Reporting Accountant for a short term contract. This is a key role in the team with responsibility for bringing up to date the statutory filings for the Groups EMEA regions. This will entail managing the statutory accounts process and preparing the statutory accounts in line with the group’s compliance policies.

What will the role involve?

• Preparation of financial statements from trial balance;
• Establishing a comprehensive list of filing positions and compliance across the international entities;
• Establish a robust mechanism for tracking and reporting on statutory accounts filings;
• Prepare and submit outstanding statutory accounts;
• Review record retention and documentation requirements to ensure international entities are compliant with local tax audits.

Suitable Candidate

• Candidates with be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong proven technical ability;
• Experience preparing statutory accounts ideally in an international environment;
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
