Senior Procurement Specialist

EMEA Recruitment is working with a renowned bioscience and healthcare provider, which is looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist for its site in North Brabant.

Working in a high-tech environment, you will be given responsibility for large capital investment projects that have enormous impact on people’s lives on daily basis.

The role:

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist, highly motivated to run Procurement independently with a substantial budget, who will be comfortable working at both a local and global level, take ownership of the matrix working environment, lead on strategic projects to the Associate Director of Procurement and central function.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Procurement Specialist:

• Stakeholder and sourcing management
• Business requirements/cost management – good understanding of business requirements and be capable of working with the wider team
• Accountability for the site budget for both Indirect and Direct Procurement (the major focus being on Indirect)
• Execution of strategic projects and assisting operating objectives for the Procurement function
• Support/manage selection of suppliers and ensure that all legal contract requirements are met
• Manage relationships with external contacts to ensure optimal performance and to ensure customer satisfaction

The ideal candidate for the Senior Procurement Specialist role:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or Procurement-related area
• 5+ years’ relevant Procurement experience, preferably in direct/raw materials or similar
• Experience working in a similar production/manufacturing environment, such as pharma, automotive, aerospace, FMCG, engineering, etc.
• Experience in large-scale organizational change initiatives, strategy development and execution
