Technical Coordinator for OML Center’s Decision Support Tools

The Technical Coordinator will primarily lead the project implementation of OML Center’s decision support tools development, such as the eCCET Helper and Upturn Solutions Platform. This will primarily involve spearheading a capacity development series for LGUs and contributing to the improvement of the tools and the project’s overall design. The initial appointment is for 6 months, with the possibility of an extension until the project duration.

Duties and Responsibilities

Coordination:

• Collaborate with the project team, experts, and relevant partners to develop a detailed activity plan, timeline, and other related materials;
• Coordinate with various LGUs for the conduct of project activities;
• Coordinate with the developer to enhance the platforms and address any issues that arise;

Development and Facilitation:

• Provide technical support and inputs on the overall project design and enhancement of tools;
• Lead the organization and facilitation of capacity development workshops;
• Develop training materials, presentations, and other resources necessary for the capacity development series;
• Identify other potential experts, key actors, stakeholders, users, and collaborators;

Monitoring and Assessment:

• Support in the launch of a grant project for Project Upturn (Upturn LABS) and in the monitoring and evaluation of project results;
• Monitor progress (including the performance of and identify points for improvement on the platform including analytics and users feedback) and provide regular updates to the project team and other stakeholders;

Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare and submit meeting notes, progress reports, timelines, concept notes, work plans, presentations, and documentation; and
• Facilitate regular meetings, dialogues, workshops, and other events related to the Project.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Environmental Economics, Environmental Science, or any other related field;
• Knowledge in climate change and solutions is a huge advantage;
• At least three years of relevant work experience in climate change-related research and projects;
• Experience in project development and coordination with local government units and national government agencies;
• Experience in training of local government units is an advantage;
• Strong analytical, verbal and written skills.
• Output-driven with excellent writing skills and strong time management; and
• Team player and able to work independently (with minimum supervision), work simultaneously on numerous tasks, and meet deadlines.
