Job Title: Financial Director

DRS (DevelopmentAid Recruitment Solutions) is looking for a Financial Director for an International NGO. The role will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our organization’s operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. Areas of responsibilities:

• Financial Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and projections.
• Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting. Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to optimize financial performance.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risk. Monitor and evaluate control effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
• Grants Management: Oversee financial aspects of grant management, including budget development, expenditure tracking, and compliance reporting. Liaise with donors and funding agencies as required.
• Team Leadership: Manage a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with programmatic and operational teams to ensure alignment of financial resources with programmatic priorities. Communicate financial information effectively to diverse stakeholders, including senior management, board members, and donors.

Qualification Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a managerial position.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Experience working in the international development sector or non-profit organizations highly desirable.
• Proficiency in financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
