The SRM team is responsible for securing the best value from our suppliers on behalf of our customers . This role will primarily focus on the leadership & development of the Garrets supply chain in the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region.
With reference to our SRM Team Leader, you will become part of a strong team. The position is based in either our Aalborg (Denmark) or Romford (UK) offices.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage tenders in a country to ensure that Garrets has access to best value pricing
- Ensure that suppliers meet our standards for safety and quality
- Monitor supplier performance based on competitive pricing, quality and service and hold regular service reviews with key suppliers
- Handle escalations and issues relating to supplier quality
- To identify ways to share best practice amongst our Supplier base, to enhance the Service of low performing suppliers or suppliers in areas of low awareness/development countries.
- To contribute to the implementation of strategic initiatives with an emphasis on continuous improvement including system improvements to enhance overall planning performance and reporting
- To identify and select new suppliers for the Region, ensuring our purchasers have suitable Supplier options in remote locations to satisfy the needs of the Clients.
- To provide inflation and pricing guidance to the Commercial, Operations and Finance teams
- Maintaining an up to date vendor list
- Manage food safety product recalls
Qualifications & requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a procurement role preferred
- CIPS qualification (or equivalent) desirable, not essential
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
- Knowledge of ERP system AX2012 is an advantage, but not a requirement
- Numerically proficient with an ability to analyse and understand data
- Advanced excel knowledge
- Proven contract negotiation and management skills
- High level of proficiency in both written and oral English
- Demonstrable negotiation skills
- Proven commercial acumen
- Have experience of operating in a multi-cultural and International environment
- A demonstrable excellence in stakeholder/relationship engagement and management.
- Self-starter who has the self-discipline to work remotely
- Ability to maintain an overview and prioritize effectively, even when working under pressure
- Ability to work under pressure but maintain a focus on the detail
- Ability to work independently and understand the importance of meeting deadlines
- Equally comfortable working at a strategic and a tactical level
- Ability and legal authorization to travel globally
- Presentation skills
