Job Title: IT Analyst

Location: Montreal, QC ( Remote Till Covid )

Duration: 12 months

Responsibilities:

  • Stores and maintains accurate software licensing information in ServiceNow to address budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contracts, and cost.
  • Maintains records relating to the issuing of license keys, license portals, vendor contacts, etc.
  • Manages proof of entitlement documentation and asset authorizations
  • Effectively manages inquiries about software usage, effective license position, deployment, license availability and external vendor license audit report requests in a timely manner.
  • The SAM Analyst develops reports exhibiting license entitlements, installations, usage, renewal, procurement status and data gaps while researching and developing standardized SAM processes.
  • Monitors and reconciles a wide variety of software licenses and usage, including desktop software to mitigate compliance risks and reduce cost.
  • Responds to requests from software owners, end users, managers, developers, and team members for support related to IT Software Asset Management.
  • Supports ServiceNow processes and procedures to automate the collection, storage, and reporting of key software data so that the products can be managed across the enterprise in an effective manner.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of enterprise-wide software asset management policies and procedures which minimizes compliance risk, enhances the program, and creates process efficiencies
  • Provides support during software publisher audits. Assists with dispute resolution. Recommends audit defense initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of software publishers’ licensing models and software deployment and use rights (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, Client, IBM, etc.)
  • Knowledge and experience with software asset life cycle management processes planning, acquisition, deployment, monitoring, harvesting and retirement
  • Knowledge of license management and optimization tools, software normalization, life cycle and discovery tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Microsoft SCCM, JAMF)
  • Knowledge of master software license agreements, EULAs, license and support renewal process; specializing in Microsoft licensing models
  • Experience interpreting software licensing terms and conditions
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner

Requirements

  • 6+ years experience in Software Asset Management and licensing.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving skills, including the ability to accumulate, organize, and assimilate large amounts of information.
  • Customer Service Focused – the ability to deliver sustained high performance and high levels of customer satisfaction across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills to effectively translate complex information.
  • Works well under pressure with differing levels of Management.
  • Excels at organizing and managing multiple priorities and/or projects.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
