This role reports to the Corporate Tax Manager and as a Corporate Tax Accountant you will be a vital part of the tax team, delivering tax compliance and advisory work for all UK companies within the ScottishPower Group working in collaboration with the businesses and creating strong partnerships.
Your skills will help to support the UK corporate tax obligations across ScottishPower working as part of the tax team ensuring compliance and reporting deadlines are met, providing advisory support and helping with any other challenges that may arise. Working in a small and supportive team you will be comfortable on supporting ad hoc advice to the UK businesses as needed and confident in supporting key stakeholders in those businesses. Experience of tax reporting including deferred tax calculations would be an advantage though coaching will be provided if required. There will also be opportunities to be involved with other taxes such as income taxes and short-term visitors. The role is particularly suitable as a first move into industry.
You will have experience of UK corporate tax working in industry, private practice or HMRC. We are happy to support applications from candidates who are part CTA qualified or who hold a professional accounting qualification and/or relevant experience and are motivated to develop their career in corporation tax.
