Your role in the team

To take care of the accounting for several Dutch subsidiaries of the EXMAR Group in order to make sure the Group and its subsidiaries comply with the applicable accounting standards and legal requirements.

Your responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Performing all monthly/quarterly closing procedures, self-review of trial balances, analytical reviews and preparation of account reconciliations to make sure the required information is delivered timely to the Controller/Consolidation department/ (internal/external) audit teams;
  • Taking care of ledger accounts including asset administration and chartering accounting, follow-up/administration/accounting of external and internal financing activities, general provisions and accruals;
  • Clients & suppliers administration regarding preparation and registration of outgoing invoices, follow-up of unpaid receivables/incoming invoices/unpaid balances, registration and filing of incoming invoices;
  • Treasury administration including preparation of weekly payment proposals and registration of bank statements;
  • Declaring monthly VAT and providing assistance with the corporate income tax calculation/filing and any other inquiry or inspection requested by authorities;
  • Financial statements, statutory audits & consolidation which include preparation of yearly statutory accounts, drafting board minutes and performing timely filing of annual accounts at the Kamer van Koophandel, uploading figures in the consolidation software and providing additional information to the consolidation department and performing monthly/quarterly intercompany reconciliations.

Your profile

  • Bachelor in Accountancy;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position;
  • You are able to provide clear and concise account reconciliations and other documents/information, respecting internal and external reporting deadlines;
  • Extensive knowledge of MS office applications (Excel in particular);
  • Good knowledge of Dutch General Accepted Accounting Principles and Company law;
  • Good knowledge of English;
  • Notions of International Financial Reporting Standards is considered a plus.
