Internal Audit/SOX Compliance Manager

4 plus years of Internal Audit experience

Venteon Finance is currently seeking an experienced Internal Audit/SOX Compliance Manager

for a leading manufacturing company located in the Detroit area. This position will contribute to the company’s Internal Audit, SOX and ERM activities. It will include contribution in risk assessments, engagement planning, SOX compliance, continuous improvement activities, and governance in compliance with the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.

Requirements of the Internal Audit/SOX Compliance Manager

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent
• 4+ years relevant experience in internal audit, external audit, corporate accounting, or finance roles
• Professional certifications (CPA, CIA)
• Big 4 accounting experience
• Working knowledge of the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing
• Manufacturing industry and multi-national experience

Responsibilities of the Internal Audit/SOX Compliance Manager

• Support in the annual risk assessment and development of the internal audit plan, development and implementation of audit strategies and procedures, including new and emerging technologies, for the execution of the annual audit plan.
• Help plan, conduct, and report on internal audits and with coordination and execution of ERM activities.
• Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives and pursue process simplification and standardization to increase audit effectiveness and efficiency, including application of technologies.
• Oversee and coordinate the company’s SOX program by performing risk assessments, leading walkthroughs, and overseeing tests of design and operating effectiveness.
• Evaluate control deficiencies for impact and monitor management’s remediation efforts to closure.
