Senior Finance Manager IMPO Principal Accounting and Reporting CH

Innovative Medicine Principal Operations (IMPO) belongs to the Innovative Medicine Companies of Johnson & Johnson. IMPO is a global organization located in USA, Belgium, Ireland, The Netherlands, Singapore, and Switzerland.

Within IMPO, our mission is to provide diligent stewardship of the IM business model, by protecting and optimizing the product intellectual property (IP) structures in close collaboration with Janssen Commercial, R&D, Supply Chain, Tax and Treasury.

The purpose of the role is supervising and leading all aspects of financial accounting and reporting within the IMPO Swiss organization. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards, both from an US GAAP and Local Statutory. Entities in scope comprises of Principal, Manufacturing and Holding companies.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial reporting, closing processes, and reconciliation activities.
  • Ensure accurate financial statements: lead and supervise the preparation and review of the balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, and footnotes, ensuring their accuracy within relevant accounting standards.
  • Drive operational improvement: continuously evaluate existing accounting processes and systems to identify areas for improvement, optimize workflows, and enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay current on accounting updates: supervise changes in accounting updates, proactively assess their impact on the organization, and implement required changes to maintain compliance.
  • Forecasting and Actuals cycles: collaborate with finance and operations teams to develop accurate balance sheet and cash flow forecast based on key drivers, providing insights and guidance for financial planning.
  • Coordinate audits: collaborate with external auditors to ensure smooth and efficient completion of annual audit processes.
  • Evaluate accounting treatments of elaborated transactions (e.g., acquisition & divestiture, mergers, investments, IP transfers, etc.), collaborating closely with Group Finance, Tax Planning, Controllership, A&D Teams.
  • Contribute to the design of the future global technology solutions, ensuring all business needs, including the specifics of Principal company model, are appropriately addressed.
  • Manage a team of approximately 20 employees, crafting a collaborative and highly engaged environment aligned with business objectives.
  • Be a member of the IMPO CH Leadership Team.

Qualifications:

  • Masters/Bachelor in Finance/Business including 8+ years or related experience
  • Big picture orientation combined with attention to details.
  • Ability to influence and provide effective communication at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrates comfort in times of ambiguity.
  • Proven agile attitude and creative mentality, comfortable driving change and innovation.
  • Great Teammate, Self-starter & Credo minded, embody DE&I.
  • Experience with working in global / hybrid environments is a plus.
  • The ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously is required.
  • This position requires a highly motivated and organized individual with strong analytical skills (accurate), intellectual curiosity and proven leadership skills.
  • Strong technical and accounting expertise (US GAAP, ERPs, SigniFi) with strong compliance attitude
