Market Data Specialist

As the person responsible for our market data operations, we will take you on a journey to provide business processes, system support and data governance for market data through data coordination and integration to ensure efficient processes and consistent data flows for the business and stakeholders. You will perform testing and system validation to resolve issues related to market data management and systems. Identify and implement process improvements related to market data processes. By making recommendations to improve the integrity, quality and availability of market data across the organisation, you will support our business units (BU) and our Centres of Excellence (CoE) in achieving their goals and contribute to the growth of their business.

We use FinOffice as our main system to manage the various service providers. Interacting with FinOffice staff helps to collaborate with our key market data providers. Step into the centre of this ecosystem and take ownership of the market data situation within Vontobel. While steering the improvement of all market data processes with foresight, you will stay on the ball to keep up with the market and turn your ideas into reality. In addition, you will train and support all internal users in the market data processes and systems.

What would your role be?

• Responsible for the entire market data operations of Vontobel Holding
• Responsible for the corresponding budget
• Management of market data related projects and processes
• Independent collaboration with stakeholders from all business units and supporting organisations
• Coaching and reviewing the work of other market data experts
• Become a subject matter expert in the field of market data
• Building a strong network with service providers in the area of market data and ratings

What are we looking for?

• Experience in market data
• Programming or scripting experience in Python, VBA or similar is a big plus
• The ability to face difficult and sometimes complex problems and approach them in a solution-oriented manner
• Good attention to detail
• Questioning the status quo and willing to push for improvements at all costs
• Proactive thinker and committed
• Strong communicator and a valued team player
• Fluent in English, German (highly desirable) and other languages are a plus
