Security Engineer (80% – 100%)

The Competence Center for Data Security is responsible for the operation, optimization and continuous development of corporate services and applications. Cross-functional collaboration and agile principles provide end-to-end services with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. As a Security Engineer with proven experience and high motivation, you are able to consult various business and IT customers about the implementation of encryption in their applications and to further develop and optimize the existing encryption, localization as well as privileged access and password management environment.

What You Will Do:

• act as a subject matter expert for security and encryption regarding the enterprise Encryption as a Service (EaaS), Localization as a Service (LaaS), Privileged Access and Password Management including a well understanding and extensive work with complex and emerging questions, challenges and requirements along the respective data security solutions

• produce the required solution specifications and proposals, provide overall leadership and help the team and customer build trusted and high-quality technical solutions under consideration of costs, objectives, deliverables and resources as well as timely and clear updates and reports to the stakeholders and executives

• recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectural principles, platforms and application infrastructure to successfully engage the key-players in their process of implementing EaaS / LaaS within their application/solution domain

• responsible for hands-on proof-of-concept work, workshops, presentations and best-practices to improve operational and strategic insights related to the maintained services

• manage technical as well as commercial/entrepreneurial relationships and collaborate with internal customers and external suppliers to build a strong relationship

• be part of a 24×7 support DevOps organization for business-critical applications to ensure an ongoing service quality and high availability

 
What You Bring

• An IT Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree is an advantage
• Several years of work experience as a Consultant or Application Manager for Data Security solutions
• Strong understanding of the following technologies and concepts such us: Symmetric and asymmetric encryption (AES, DES, 3DES, RSA), Data-Centric Security and Format Preserving Encryption (FPE/eFPE), Databases such as MS-SQL and PostgreSQL, ID-Based encryption (IBE), Web service technologies (REST, SOAP)
•  Experienced to operate Windows and Linux servers as well as Kubernetes environments
• Experience with security/encryption products and HSM solutions
• Good verbal and written skills in English and German
