The role
We are looking for an Information Governance & Compliance Manager to be responsible for ensuring the privacy, security and integrity of data. The role encompasses Data Protection Officer (DPO) and Cyber Security responsibilities, and entails overseeing all aspects of data protection and cyber security policy to safeguard the personal information of all our supporters, members, staff, and other stakeholders.
You will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining a robust data protection framework, implementing cybersecurity policies, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
What you’ll do
– Develop, implement & maintain data protection policies & procedures.
– Ensure compliance with GDPR, PECR & other data protection regulations.
– Provide advice & guidance to staff on data protection issues.
– Investigate & respond to data protection & cyber security incidents.
– Develop, implement & maintain cyber security risk management plans.
What you’ll need
– PECB Certified Data Protection Officer accreditation.
– Significant experience in data protection & cyber security.
– Excellent knowledge of data protection regulations (particularly GDPR & PECR).
– A strong understanding of cyber security threats, risks and vulnerabilities.
– Experience of developing & delivering data & security compliance training.
– Security management knowledge (ISO 27001, PCI-DSS & Cyber Essentials).
– A willingness to learn new skills (particularly agile working).
– A criminal record check / DBS disclosure (if offered the position).
