We are looking for a Team Leader who will be pivotal to the development and success of the service where we support our customers. Supporting the Care Manager with day to day decisions and also deputising in their absence.
As Team Leader at the service you will lead the team in providing a high standard of care and support, working with adults who may have complex needs, ranging from learning disabilities, autism, mental health illness and/or behaviours that may challenge.
You will provide positive support to ensure their independence as far as practically possible, engaging in activities, achieving an active life, promoting good health and positive wellbeing so as to lead a full and meaningful life.
What You Will Need To Succeed
To be successful in the role you will have excellent people management experience within support services. Experience of supporting individuals with a learning disability, autism and/or mental health issues would be advantageous. Having previous experience leading or being responsible for a team would be an advantage but not essential. You will demonstrate you understand what good support looks like which is appropriate to the age, gender, disability, race, religion and sexuality of the customer to improve their quality of life and independence.
You’ll need good, effective communication skills to be able to work as part of a team or work on your own when needed. You’ll have experience in having an holistic approach, updating paperwork on the computer, dealing with appointments and keyworking to develop and achieve positive outcomes.
