What it’s like to work here
As Ireland’s first Nature Reserve, Murlough National Nature Reserve is internationally recognised for its diverse, wildlife-rich habitats including the most extensive example of dune heath in Ireland. Murlough is a sand-dune ecosystem, shaped by 6,000 years of coastal processes and habitation. The reserve is surrounded by the wildlife rich Dundrum Bay, the majestic Mourne mountains and the Irish Sea.
Your role will be based in our car parks, dealing with cash handling and engagement with all sorts of visitors from day to day dog-walkers to specialist events. You’ll work in a small team in conjunction with the Rangers and provide excellent service to all of our visitors. You’ll be passionate about our work, enjoy working in a team and love working outdoors. Hours for the role are flexible and will depend on availability.
What you’ll be doing
Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can which includes keeping the facilities clean, cash handling and lending a helping hand where necessary. You’ll promote membership of the National Trust and work towards a target to support what we do as a charity.
