Management Accountant | Luxury Fashion Scale-up | London/Hybrid

Harmonic are delighted to be working with a luxury fashion scale-up in their search for a Management Accountant. Whilst also expanding their presence in the luxury space, they are growing their internal teams, expanding into the US and getting prepared to fundraise. It is a very exciting join to the business and a great business to progress within for the foreseeable future.

The company is made up of a very friendly, vibrant, and high energy team who understand hard work and always putting their best foot forward. The team consists of around 30 people as it stands but this will increase in the coming years as they look to build out their internal finance function. Their turnover stands at around £8m, with predictions to double this in 2024.

The Management Accountant role offers flexibility for hybrid working, with 4 days a week in office preferred. These days may change dependent on the week and occasional travel for work should be anticipated.

For this role, interim to permanent candidates will be considered.

The Role

This role presents the opportunity to work in a growing team, overseeing the entire finance function. The ideal candidate would like to take on management responsibilities as the team expands and takes a keen interest in moving with the business. The right person will take initiative in driving their own career progression and see this as the natural next step. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to present the company finances, however you will be able to work autonomously when needed.

Responsibilities

Work with the outsourced finance department through an in-house transition

Ensuring smooth transactional finance processes across accounts payable and accounts receivable

Conduct bank reconciliations on a weekly basis and supply reconciliations

Identifying opportunities for change and driving this for company efficiency

Preparation of management accounts

Ensure compliance with accounting standards

Submit VAT returns on a quarterly basis

Report to the Senior Leadership Team on the financial operations

What We Need To See (essential)

Experience in Fashion / FMCG / Consumer Goods / E-commerce

Experience working with Shopify and Xero

Experience in an SME or a small team

Part Qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA/AAT (qualified by experience candidates also considered)

Be a people person and have a desire to manage

Great Communication Skills With Experience Working With Outsourced Departments

Excellent attention to numerical details

Desire to work in a growing business

What We Would Like To See (Bonus)

Strong excel skills, happy with excel analysis and reporting

Less than 3 months notice

Salary: £40,000 – £47,000 depending on experience and any relevant qualifications
