The Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) is seeking a Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator provides administrative and programmatic support to the Guidelines Team of the Clinical Affairs & Practice Guidelines Department, clinical practice guidelines and guidance expert panels.

Qualifications

Characteristic Essential Responsibilities

  • Provides guideline development support, including supporting management of panels; coordinating meetings; generating meeting agenda and minutes; maintaining literature reviews; developing and maintaining PICO questions; collating and editing guideline materials; and maintaining organized reference libraries
  • Provides assistance in formation of guideline panels and management of panelists’ conflict of interest disclosures
  • Maintains the Practice Guidelines section of the website
  • Manages online technological resources to maintain efficiency and ensure user-friendliness
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of internal guideline tracking systems
  • Coordinate IDWeek annual meeting workshops and guideline panel meetings
  • Participates in streamlining and continuous quality improvement initiatives and in the standardization of processes
  • Assists in coordinating review and endorsement of guidelines by Guidelines Committee and IDSA Board
  • Coordinates submission and review of guideline publications
  • Responds to or route inquiries and feedback from volunteers, membership, other associations and the general public
  • Assists with other department projects, including development of clinical tools and resources
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Accountabilities

  • The Program Coordinator will ensure that consistent processes are followed and coordinate effective day-to-day operations and workflow of Guidelines panels.
  • The Program Coordinator will ensure that guidelines panels have the necessary tools and resources to meet targeted timelines.
  • The Program Coordinator will maintain communication with the Director of Guidelines Operations, Guidelines Team, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure adherence to protocols across key touch points.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Associate degree, preferably in Science or Health-related field of study; relevant experience can be submitted
  • Prior experience in relevant position within a medical society preferred but not required

  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills with an ability to support multiple assignments with competing deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Resourcefulness, self-starting, analytical thinking
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within cross-functional teams
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to navigate technological resources
  • Knowledge of HTML and content management systems preferred
