Permanent, part time 18.75 hrs per week

We have a fabulous job opportunity for you to join our awesome team. We currently cover 6 transforming care properties in Hull and 2 in Leeds. We support customers with complex presentation, which may include, mental health issues, risk behaviours, forensic backgrounds, mild learning difficulties alongside new and ongoing physical health conditions. For all our properties we carry out the housing management tasks while our transforming care team support our customers. You will work closely with the team ensuring safety and compliance. You will be part of a wider team as we also have other services in Scunthorpe, Yorkshire, Hull and Driffield.

You’ll be our Housing and Property Guru! Focussing on tenancy support, you’ll provide a housing management service to our customers, supporting them to manage their tenancy and rent accounts. You’ll also help our customers with their housing benefit claims and making sure that these are received on their rent account.

About The Role

  • The role is very varied and often fast paced. No two days are ever the same and the hours can fly by.
  • A typical day could involve making sure that our customers properties are homes they can be proud of, you’ll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies, to visiting properties to carry out Health & Safety compliance checks.
  • Another day you could find yourself working alongside our maintenance surveyors assisting with planned works or meeting an Occupational Therapist looking at adaptations in our properties.
  • Customers are achieving recovery as they define it and living their happiest life through regular interaction with their family and friends, and the wider community.
  • Our transforming care homes use creative solutions, including assistive living technology which enables our customers to have choices and control to develop and maintain their independence.
  • Our inclusive, safe homes are maintained to promote wellbeing and adapt to customers individual needs.

About Our Team

You’ll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us were not just a team we’re a ‘work family’. There are 13 of us in the team and we don’t just love to support our customers, we’re there for each other too.

Working hours

Hours will be flexible working between Monday and Friday over 3-4 days as agreed with manager.

About You

  • You’re passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. You’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds. You will have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments and confidentiality.
  • As Housing Management Coordinator it would be useful if you’re experienced in managing a housing management caseload however don’t worry if not we can train you up. You’re great at managing your own time and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it’s important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe.)
  • You will be expected to travel between our properties, so it is essential that you have a full driving license and access to a car.

When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.
