Goodman Masson are delighted to be partnered with The Royal Parks to recruit for a newly created Finance Business Partner role.

The Royal Parks manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These include Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park and St James’s Park. Their eight Royal Parks and other public spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with 77 million visits every year.

As Finance Business Partner you will work with TRP’s Estates & Projects and Corporate Services directorates, building partnerships with key stakeholders to influence and support both strategic and operational business decisions. You will be the finance lead for some of The Royal Parks most important and high-profile strategic programmes.

Day to day duties include:

  • Act as the finance lead for some of TRP’s most important and high-profile strategic programmes.
  • Producing finance related papers and presenting finance updates to project board meetings.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, and monitoring of actual and forecast financial performance.
  • Provision of accurate, reliable and timely financial information including monthly management accounts, quarterly business reviews, budget-holder reports and project reporting.
  • Build trusted partnerships with your business areas to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions promoting business improvements and value for money.
  • Act as a trusted person and offering business support to key stakeholders.
  • Act as a finance lead on procurement’s. Supporting the delivery of the procurement strategy and undertaking financial assessment of suppliers.
  • Support the production of business cases and undertaking financial assessment of projects such as ROI or NPV calculations.
  • Working alongside the IT team as they determine the IT strategy and organisation wide system refresh – support to prioritisation and tracking of cost and benefits.

Essentials:

  • CCAB Qualified or Equivalent
  • Experience supporting large scale projects
  • Experience working with senior leadership team/board level
  • Experience presenting complex information to non-finance stakeholders
