We are fans of automation and helping our customers modernize their infrastructure. We use Ansible to deploy and maintain our technology stack which consists of IDM, Databases, Web & Application Servers, Systems Management, Collaboration, Groupware solutions and more.

Tasks

As a Senior Linux System Engineer, you will lead customer projects and act as the single point of contact for selected service level agreements (SLAs).

Your tasks and duties will include:

  • engineer, reverse-engineer, and constructively challenge requirements
  • implement, adapt, and expand Linux system landscapes according to customer specifications
  • specify complex changes, plan their implementation, and ensure proper risk management
  • create comprehensive documentation and describe concepts in a concise way
  • lead customer meetings and establish a constructive relationship with the customer
  • provide comprehensive product and service support, solve high-priority and high-impact issues, replicate problems and identify root causes

Requirements

Must-Have Hard Skills

  • You have between five and eight years of work experience as a system engineer in Linux-centric enterprise environments.
  • You have in-depth expertise regarding Red Hat and/or SUSE products.
  • You have in-depth expertise using automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStack to improve existing automation and write and implement new ones.
  • You can troubleshoot Linux system landscapes and design robust interdependent server systems.
  • You have at least a B2 level of English, preferably C1.

  • You deliver high-quality services and solutions to customers that meet their needs and expectations while aligning with the company’s goals and interests.

Nice-to-Haves

  • You are a Red Hat Certified Engineer and/or SUSE Certified Engineer.
  • You have experience with the following: Webservers, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, LDAP, OpenID Connect, KVM Virtualization, OpenSearch, Bash, Python, Terraform, Docker, and NFS.
  • You have some proficiency in German.
